About Me

Faceshot

I’ve been building the Chronicles of Amidral for twelve years.

What started in 2014 with an idea of a blacksmith who wielded magic but didn’t know it has grown into a sprawling fantasy universe spanning three kingdoms, dragons, corrupted royalty, and secrets buried for millennia. That blacksmith became Enzo. Enzo grew up in a remote village of Amidral. But staying there wouldn’t be much of a story, would it? So I sent Enzo out into the world. Adventures ensued.

By day, I’m a senior developer at a web agency in Edinburgh. By night—and during lunch breaks, and stolen weekends—I write fantasy novels.

So why now? Why not twelve years ago? For over a decade, I’ve been developing Amidral in private. I’ve been building the magic systems, mapping the kingdoms, chronicling the dragon war and its centuries of fallout, and writing character backstories that would never fit in the novels themselves. I waited because I wanted the world to be right—internally consistent, thematically rich, deep enough to support the stories I wanted to tell. And now, in 2026, it’s ready.
